We offer two scholarship programs to assist patients in achieving their higher education goals. The Shire ACES (Award for Collegiate Education from Shire) scholarship recognizes academic achievement in the rare disease community, and Shire’s ADHD scholarship program supports individuals diagnosed with ADHD who are pursuing higher education.
Shire ACES Scholarship for Rare Diseases
Shire is committed to fulfilling unmet patient needs in the rare disease community. Our vision is to transform the lives of people around the world, whose health is impacted by rare and other specialized conditions, by providing innovative solutions. As part of our commitment to the rare disease community, we offer three $5000 Shire ACES Scholarships. Shire’s ADHD Scholarship Program
The Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship by Shire recognizes and supports individuals in the United States and Canada diagnosed with ADHD who are pursuing higher education. We sponsor the scholarship as part of our work to support patients with ADHD, their families, and the professionals who help them. The scholarship includes a $2,000 award and a prepaid year of ADHD coaching from the Edge Foundation. Fifty-five recipients were selected in 2015.
