June 17, 2011 - Shire plc (LSE: SHP, NASDAQ: SHPGY), the global specialty biopharmaceutical company (“the Company”) announces that on June 16, 2011 it was notified that Matthew Emmens’ partner, Lois Veeder, sold on the same day, 600 American Depository Shares (“ADSs”) in the Company on the NASDAQ at a price of $88.2083 per ADS.
