Dr Jeffrey Leiden appointed to Vertex Board.
08 Jul 2009 - Basingstoke, UK and Philadelphia, US – Shire announces that Dr Jeffrey Leiden has been appointed a non executive director of Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Dr Leiden is Vice Chairman of Shire and Chairman of its Science and Technology Committee.
David Kappler is the Company's Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director. He is also Chairman of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Committee and the Company's Nomination Committee.
