US Patient Assistance Programs

ShireCaresAt Shire we strive to be as brave as the people we help. One of the ways we can do that is by helping provide access to medicine for those with financial need. That’s why we created our patient assistance and support program, Shire Cares - to help you get the Shire medicines your physician has prescribed.

Shire is dedicated to assisting patients with limited financial resources. If you don’t have prescription insurance or are having trouble affording your medicines, Shire Cares may be able to help.

Shire Human Genetic Therapies

OnePath

Shire HGT provides co-pay assistance for eligible patients in the United States who have commercial insurance. We believe that the costs associated with rare-disease treatments should not be a barrier to patient access. We know that treatment options are an unmet need in rare-disease treatment – which we strive to achieve.

Co-pay Assistance Program:  The OnePath Co–pay Assistance Program offers co–pay assistance for certain patients who need assistance paying for out–of–pocket medication costs. Those eligible will receive a OnePath co–pay card that can be used to help pay these costs.

Patient Assistance Program: The OnePath Patient Assistance Program has been set up for certain patients who are currently uninsured, or have insurance that does not cover treatment. OnePath may be able to help patients get access to treatment and find insurance that does cover their medication.

Charitable Donations: Patient Services Incorporated (PSI), the National Gaucher Foundation, the MPS Society, and the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) are charitable organizations that may help patients find payments alternatives and other treatment–related services.

Case Managers are available Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 8:00pm, Eastern Time at 1-866-888-0660.

Additional program restrictions and eligibility requirements apply. Offer good only in the United States. Offer void where prohibited by law, taxed or restricted. Shire Human Genetic Therapies, Inc. reserves the right to rescind, revoke, or amend this offer at any time without notice.
