Responsibility

Being responsible is at the core of everything that we
do at Shire.

Focus areas

Shire is now organizing its responsibility work into 13 areas, all of them directly related to the way the company operates day-to-day. Each area has champions within the business, and sponsorship from a member of the Responsibility Coordination Team.

Some of the areas are already well established ithin Shire, such as Health & Safety and Product Safety; others are much newer for Shire, and will be fundamental to the next phase of its growth and international expansion. This is why the first four areas in this section will be special priorities for 2010 and 2011.
