- Maintain an appropriate level of involvement for Shire within the communities it operates in
- Collate information on the Company’s charitable actions and community initiatives annually
- Improve internal awareness about the Company’s activities in the community and share best practice

- Remain in compliance with local, state and federal Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations
- Integrate a single EH&S management system
- Meet or exceed the conditions for air emissions and wastewater discharge
- Reduce the employee incident rate
- Identify potential and means to improve office environmental practices
- Encourage suppliers to embrace CR standards similar to our own and work with them to share best practice and help them improve if appropriate
- Require all contractors and sub-contractors to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Shire safety standards
